connex is rescheduling the train timetable as of nov 9th i think. they are also purchasing new trains, so i guess they are trying to make an improvement. its kinda sad for people living on the lines that they are changing routes; a hassle for workers because the train wont be running through the city loop anymore. HAHA. that must suck bad! on another note, i heard that connex was being taken over by a french company, is that true? i need to check that out to see if its true. if they could improve the services then it would put connex in so much shame(although connex should already be ashamed of its crappy services) i just realised that their idea of a service being 'on time' is if it comes between 1-5mins of its scheduled time. are they retarded? if it says it is going to arrive at a certain time, then trains should come ON time. otherwise its just false advertisement, they should get sued.

anyone hear about the 'supposed' refund given out by connex? i know this is like really old news but they are handing out free tickets to people in possession of a weekly, monthly or yearly tickets to compensate for their crappy service. Sure that is a good gesture but in my terms, these tickets are absolutely useless. You see, as i am a student, i hold a yearly ticket. Now why would i need a free daily ticket? Even if i was to save it and use it next year, there would be no point if im going to buy another yearly ticket again. For people who dont know, the yearly ticket expires on the 28th of February every year. Even if i bought a yearly ticket in Januray or March, it would still expire on the same day. now can anyone explain to me why i would need a free ticket? i basically paid my fare already.
Another thing is, why are ticket fares going up? it would be great if the increase in price means that it fixes the public transport network, but it doesnt. They are sill late and delayed and totally unreliable. Where is all the money going? Certainly not to train maintence. i bet it is going to the wages of all those new ticket inspectors that hang around the station. Let me tell you, at some stations they are standing at the entrances to like mobs, as soon as you get off the train they crowd around you like seagulls asking for your ticket. Why would you need that many? Why is connex being so stingy with the fares when they arent even doing anything about the public transport system? They are just ripping the public off!!
once again...
CONNEX SUCKS

Yet again another frustrating day with public transport.
Destination: caulifield station
Departing:
In theory, because of Sunday timetable, it should take approximately 30 minutes to reach Caulfield from
I arrived at
Platform 6 and 7 at
I thought it was the end of the horror, this train was supposed to run express from
Time of arrival to Caulfield around 5.10pm.
Imagine my frustration, what about all those people who live on the Frankston line? At least at Caulfield I could catch either Frankston or Cranbourne/Pakenham lines.
Connex sucks
